Edwin M. Green is a Miami native who has been a general contractor in the swimming pool industry since 1958. He renovated the Biltmore Hotel pool in Coral Gables in 1987. The

pool, built in 1926, is the largest in Florida, with 18,600 square feet of water. In just over six weeks, he also built on pilings the 11,000-square-foot Fontainebleau Hotel pool in Miami Beach. Green was appointed chairman of the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, which governs 104,000 contractors, including those in the swimming pool industry.
